The Government of the Turks & Caicos

Case Study

The Government of the Turks and Caicos has made a significant contract with its citizens and as they deliver on that contract they are pleased and proud to tell their story. The want the people to hold them accountable. They have been working to change the practice of the last 50 years, where the cultural and social development of our people took a back seat to economic development. To ensure long term economic security and prosperity, they invested in food production, environmental protection and infrastructural development. They came to Office during a very difficult time. The economy was floundering. Tourist arrivals were the lowest in recent years. Cruise ships were not calling because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Turks & Caicos Islands have come a long way.

“I believe the best is yet to come if each of us does our part to build these beautiful Turks & Caicos Islands.” – Premier Washington Misick

Gale Force Wins was tasked to showcase the Government of the Turks and Caicos to create excitement, generate interest, and help them tell their stories of success. The authentic and genuine style conversations were designed to help the participants make connections with their audience to showcase their passion and commitment to the country.

Gale Force Wins met with the Leadership (Premier, and two Cabinet Ministers) of the Country
to better understand their vision for the country and better gauge their style and comfort level with this
unique Gale Force Wins approach.

Gale Force Wins arrived in the Turks and Caicos and immediately met the Premier to arrange
dates and times to create content. On each of those pre-arranged engagements Gale Force Wins quickly
commanded the day and were very prescriptive in our approach. This “easy going yet take charge”
approach was extremely well received by all parties because it was fast, focused, and enjoyable. Gale
Force Wins covered three locations over three days involving travel by air, land and sea. All content was
created with efficiency and utmost respect for our guests and their environment. Content was all
aggregated into an easy to understand shared folder to ensure ease of dissemination.

In excess of 50 conversations were created with with over 100 pieces of digital photos and videos posted to a Google spreadsheet for easy
planning and dissemination by the Government’s marketing agency.
